Mizoram Public Service Commission's Group 'B' (Gazetted) General Services Combined Competitive Examination — the state's senior gazetted entry-cadre exam, covering posts such as Inspector (Excise & Narcotics), Assistant LESO, and State Tax Officer. Unlike every other UPSC-pattern exam on this platform, this exam has no separate Preliminary screening stage — candidates sit a direct Written Examination of 5 papers (General English, General Essay, and three General Studies papers, 800 marks total) followed by a 100-mark Personal Interview. General Studies-I and II track the standard UPSC GS Mains syllabus (modern Indian history, current affairs, Indian polity, economy, and geography of India), and General Studies-III covers science and technology, a compulsory Aptitude Test, and — the exam's own dedicated Mizoram-knowledge component — a named 80-mark unit on the History, Cultural Heritage and Traditional Practices and General Knowledge of Mizoram.
