Tripura Public Service Commission's Tripura Civil Service / Tripura Police Service Grade-II Combined Competitive Examination — the state's senior administrative and police entry-cadre exam, Group-A Gazetted. Prelims has a single General Studies paper (200 marks) with a dedicated 15-mark 'Geography, History and Culture of Tripura' item alongside the standard national General Studies syllabus. Mains has two qualifying language papers (English Essay/Report/Precis, and English Composition plus Bengali/Kokborok or Alternative English) followed by four General Studies papers (150 marks each) and an optional subject. Each General Studies paper carries substantial, dedicated Tripura content: GS-I includes Tripura's disaster-hazard profile within its Security and Disaster Management section; GS-II carries a full dedicated History of Tripura section (the Manikya dynasty's later Maharajas, tribal uprisings, the 1949 Merger with India) and a full Geography of Tripura section, plus Tripura-specific cultural-heritage items (Rabindranath Tagore's connection to Tripura, the development of the Kokborok language); GS-III carries a full Political and Administrative System of Tripura section, including the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC); and GS-IV carries a full Economy of Tripura section (agriculture, forestry and plantation, industry and tourism) alongside Tripura-specific social-security content. Study material reuses UPSC's own extensive GS Mains citation corpus for the national/generic portions, with 3 chapters authored fresh for Tripura's own history and political development, culture/heritage/geography, and economy/social/disaster profile.
